Red River Obedience Training Club is a non-profit club. Our membership is as diverse as our training interests. The goal of our club is to encourage the interest in training of the purebred dog. Club membership is limited to those persons who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and are interested in canine obedience training.   RROTC meetings are held the third (3rd) Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the club's facility at 1213 Texas Street.  Visitors are always welcome!

 

APPLICATION PROCESS

  • To be eligible for membership in the club, all persons must be of good moral character, interested in canine obedience training and be in good standing with the American Kennel Club.

  • Applicant must be in at least the 5th week of a beginner class at RROTC or have completed an AKC obedience title. Applicant must attend 2 meetings or functions of the club prior to receiving an application. Applicant may petition the Membership Committee for waiver of requirements on an individual basis.

  • Application must be signed by a sponsor. It then appears in the newsletter.

  • Applicant agrees not to raise or breed puppies for sale to pet shops or commercial outlets.

  • If at any time an application is denied, applicant may reapply after six months.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

Single Membership - Any person 18 years or older. Entitles that person to all the privileges of the club and to one vote at any meeting of the membership at which he is present. Dues are currently $25 per year*.

Family Membership - Includes a spouse and any children under the age of 18. Entitles the family to all privileges of the club and each spouse one vote at any meeting of the membership at which they are present. Dues are currently $30 per year*.

Honorary Membership - granted by the club to persons whom the club wishes to honor and entitles that person to all privileges of the club except those of voting and holding office.  

*Membership dues are subject to yearly review.  Price quoted effective April 1, 2006.
